At Brigus Gold, we strive to be exemplary corporate and environmental neighbours by supporting the communities where we work and live. 

 

The company has recently donated to the Red Cross, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Laing House - a peer support organization for youth with mental illness. In Ontario, where the company's mining operations take place, Brigus donated to the local high school, food bank and Steps for Life - a fundraising event that supports families who've suffered from a workplace injury. 

 

Brigus works cooperatively through a proactive and open approach with government agencies, local communities, First Nations and concerned parties to achieve the mutual benefit of environmental protection and sustainable development. As part of that effort, Brigus management, employees and all suppliers adhere to our strict environmental standards and practice safe and responsible mining through diligent application of technically proven and economically feasible controls through all phases of the mining life cycle. 

 

Safety is a top priority and we are proud of our Black Fox team who have achieved over 2.3 million hours worked without a lost time incident.
