Canadore College is governed by a Board of Governors comprised of up to 12 volunteers from the external community appointed by the Board and the Lieutenant Governor in Council plus the College President and 4 elected volunteers from Canadore’s internal community on behalf of  our students, faculty, support staff and administration.
 
The Board of Governors is responsible for setting the college vision, strategic directions, and overall goals and outcomes; establishing governance structures to enable the achievement of expected institutional outcomes; delegating to the president accountability for the operation of the college; approving the college’s annual business plan, budget and annual report; and assessing the attainment of corporate goals and outcomes.

Lead - Indigenous Poverty Reduction Education Program (IPREP)
  • Responsible for project management support to the Manager of Community Based and Contract Training by using the Client Impact Model to implement the project
  • Establish community out-reach and act as the primary liaison from the IPREP between the College, First Nation Communities, and employers
TECHNOLOGIST – DENTAL HYGIENE PROGRAM
  • Supervise and guide students in the Dental Hygiene program to meet the learning outcomes of skills and assessment courses in a clinic setting
  • Plan, organize, and conduct demonstrations, explaining correct procedures, skills, and theoretical principles
GENERALIST, ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT & TALENT MANAGEMENT

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development & Talent Management (ODTM), the Generalist is accountable for providing a range of human resources functions supporting the College’s strategic plan and the implementation of short and long-term projects.

Technician – Dental Hygiene Program
  • Collaborate with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
  • Work with community agencies and dental offices to recruit patients for student clinical labs
Professor, Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program
  • Deliver lessons covering Level 1  introductory level curriculum to Pre-Apprenticeship students over an eight-week period
  • Teach theory in class and practical projects in the Commerce Court Campus lab
