Capitale Helicopters mission is to achieve the highest level of safety possible by managing both safety and quality, thereby reducing accidents, incidents and injuries, while at the same time increasing operational efficiency and providing a quality work environment for all personnel.

 

Our Dedication to Safety

 

Capitale Helicopters regards the safety of flight operations, crews, passengers and associated ground operations as the most important consideration, in all activities. This dedication to safety is made with the realization that risks must often be taken in the conduct of daily operations, and that all personnel must accept the inherent risks associated with maintenance, flight operations and aviation in general. All personnel must remain devoted to quality, duty, good judgment, sound operational planning, and efficient use of available resources.

 

Further, all personnel must comply with the laws, regulations and procedures in which Capitale Helicopters operations are conducted. It is important for all personnel to view regulatory compliance as a minimum standard.

 

Our Standarts and Best Practices

 

Standards & Best Practices are policies, procedures, methods and processes that have been developed by Capitale Helicopters to establish and maintain the highest level of safety possible. These standards and best practices are incorporated into the Capitale Helicopters manual system and written guidance, and shall be treated by all personnel as mandates. All standards and best practices, in addition to regulatory compliance, shall be followed, and are an essential component of system safety.

 

Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Protection

 

Capitale Helicopters will comply with all applicable governmental regulations concerning the safety and health of all personnel. Core SMS processes of Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance are applied equally to occupational, environmental and system safety alike. The health and safety of all personnel, the public and our environment, will remain continuing strategic goals of Capitale Helicopters.

Safety is one of our fundamental priorities. We are committed to developing, implementing, following, and constantly improving our strategies and practices in order to ensure that all of our aviation activities take place in an organized environment dedicated to the highest standards of safety. In addition, we will make sure that each and every one of our services meets the requirements of local and international standards for safety. The enforcement of our safety policy at Capitale Hélicoptère is a key priority that guides our efforts to attain our safety objectives.

 

All of our managers and employees are responsible for ensuring the highest standards of our safety policy.

 

Our committment 

• To support our safety policy by providing adequate information to each stakeholder, which promotes an organizational culture of security, which maintains efficient communication and good distribution of safety briefings and which manages the safety policy to a uniform degree with all of Capitale Hélicoptère’s services.

• To treat the safety policy as a fundamental responsibility for all members of management as well as for members of staff.

• To clearly define the different responsibilities of the entire team in the application of the organizational safety plan and the safety policy.

• To establish and create a system to identify dangers and risks including a system for reporting dangerous incidents in order to eliminate or minimize dangerous incidents during our services, in order to minimize such risks to the greatest extent possible.

• To ensure that there are no repercussions for a team member who reports a weakness or gap in security using the incident report system, unless there is reasonable doubt to believe that such an act is illegal, negligent, in bad faith, or goes against the safety policy.

• To adhere and, when possible, go beyond the standards established by law and regulations when it comes to safety.

• To maintain a qualified and well-staffed team in order to constantly put into practice the strategies and procedures in place for matters of safety.

• To ensure that all staff members receive training and adequate information regarding aviation safety, and that they are well-equipped and assigned to roles appropriate to their experience. 

• To establish and quantify our system for evaluation of safety issues using a system that accurately reflects performance and our identified objectives. 

• To constantly improve our system for the evaluation of safety issues using management tools that assure the efficiency of our procedures. 

• To provide external systems of evaluation in order to uphold our services while at the same time respecting our safety policy.
