  • Offers Extended Health Benefits to qualifying individuals
  • Provides information to recipients about participation requirements including seeking employment, basic education, volunteer work, or self employment
 
Life Long Care Program
 
  • Supports and services for Aboriginal people within the urban aboriginal community
  • Helps people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible
  • Available to Aboriginal members who are frail, vulnerable, at risk older adults, and adults who are disabled and chronically ill
 
Congregate Dining: group meals and social activities
 
Friendly Visits: regular visits and/or phone calls to older adults and people with disabilities who live alone, to provide companionship and reassurance
 
Home Maintenance: referrals to local services such as snow removal, yard work, window washing, house cleaning, grocery shopping, and minor repairs
 
Meals on Wheels: hot meals delivered * special diet types available
 
Personal Emergency Response Service - Lifeline: medical alert system * allows older adults and people with disabilities to call for assistance using a help button * 24-hour emergency response
 
Transportation: non-emergency transportation to any medical, dental, doctor appointments within the community and pre-arranged transportation services for members

School Bus Operators (Seasonal)

The driver is responsible for the safe operation of the school bus in accordance with MTO driving regulations.
