Project Description

Lassing Dibben was contracted by Nucor Corporation to carry out the design for their Material Receiving, Storage and Outfeed systems at the Iron Carbide plant in Trinidad. The system also included two 100,000 tonne storage halls, one for each material. The material was distributed in each storage hall by means of an elevated reversing shuttle conveyor operating on a level sensing sequence. Reclaim was accomplished by front end loader discharging to any of four feeders loading onto a collecting conveyor which fed the plant feed or loadout conveyor.
