Kei Quinn
2019 Winner

Kei Quinn is an exploration geologist that stumbled into a geologic career after a transformative summer of soil sampling throughout properties in British Columbia. She completed her BSc Hons in Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria in 2013. After completing her BSc, she worked on the Palmer volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) Project in southeast Alaska, where she experienced the thrill of collaborating with a dedicated team to discover the second Zn-Ag-Cu deposit on the property, the AG deposit. Currently, Kei is pursuing an MSc at Memorial University in St. John’s, NL, focused on unravelling the stratigraphy and lithogeochemistry of the AG deposit. A better understanding of the AG deposit will guide future exploration and contribute to the growing knowledge of VMS systems. Upon finishing her graduate degree, Kei hopes to enhance her scientific knowledge to the continued search for ore deposits. Kei also enjoys climbing rocks for fun when she studying them!
