Beam me Up Scottie – Big Plans for Mining the Final Frontier

Jan 17, 2014

Chris Lewicki will explore how his company  Planetary Resources'  plans to organize a venture for Mining The Final Frontier – Space, when he delivers the Keynote Speech at the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference (VRIC 2014) on Monday, January 20th, at 4:30 p.m. PST.

While Planetary Resources prepares to boldly venture where no mining company has ever ventured to before it has attracted strategic investments from such business luminaries as Google founder and executive chairman, Larry Page and Eric Schmidt, respectively, Ross Perot Jr. and Sir Richard Branson.

Planetary Resources is embarking on the world's first mission to identify economic resource deposits in outer space, with the goal of "harnessing the most valuable resources beyond Earth," noted Chris Lewicki, President and Chief Engineer of Planetary Resources, Inc.

As Planetary Resources works towards the identification and demonstration of viable resource deposits in asteroids, data collected will be ground-breaking, and according to Lewicki, "There are different parts of the economy that are interested in the information and the ability to be ahead of the rest of the pack in monetizing this opportunity."

Future investment opportunities and potential public listing may be a possibility, as the company is currently conducting very early stage space exploration and data "fieldwork."

Warp speed, Mr. Sulu….
