In collaboration with others, we will strengthen the social and environmental performance of the mining and metals industry and build recognition of its contribution to local communities and society at large.

Member companies commit to implementing ICMM's Mining Principles. The Mining Principles serve as a best practice framework on sustainable development for the mining and metals industry.

We have five values that guide our work and how we interact with others.

Strategy 2019–2021

 

The three-year strategy and action plan outlines the key themes and areas which underpin the priorities of ICMM and our members, enabling us to collectively support the mining and metals industry to raise standards and improve performance. ICMM delivers programmes and activities which address environmental stewardship, the role of mining and metals in society and human wellbeing. We adopt a collaborative approach with our members and key external stakeholders to promote positive engagement with local communities, build and maintain trust in the mining and metals industry and catalyse social and economic development.
