The Garden River Wellness Centre, a department of Garden River First Nation, delivers  a wide variety of health, Mental health,addictions and culture-based programs and services to support health and wellness through all life stages from conception to elderly years. 
 
Through the collaborative efforts of our staff and visiting professionals and committing to our strategic plan, we strive to build a healthy community while optimizing individual health and wellness.

The Garden River Wellness Centre Strives to:
 
  • Be a welcoming, friendly place where help is given and received.
  • Integrate Alternative, Traditional and Western approaches to develop, offer, improve and expand health programs and services
  • Encourage and support people to help themselves and each other.
  • Build relationships within and outside of our community to enhance programs and services for our people
 
Our Programs and Services will be:
 
  • Reflective and responsive of community needs
  • Considerate of the teachings and values of our community
  • Delivered in a professional manner in accordance with:
  • Mandatory regulations/Legislation
  • Program guidelines
  • Funding restraints
  • Scopes of practice including research, professionaland current standards
 
Locations
 
 
NAAN-DOO-WE’AN
 
The main location houses clinic rooms, a dental exam room, a physiotherapy room, and an education room for community outreach events. Located at 23 Shingwauk Street.
 
 
DAN PINE SR. HEALING LODGE
 
This location houses Wellness Events, Traditional Healers, and the Beauty From Ashes Residential and non-Residential programs and services. Located at 200 Anishnabe Point.
