Simulation

Jul 22, 2013
At OETIO, we are never satisfied with the status quo. We believe in continual improvement, and that’s what makes our curriculum so effective. We apply the same philosophy to everything we do, so our team specializes in remaining current, and integrating innovative and cost-effective methodologies and technologies to enhance our training programs.

Our goal is graduating the most knowledgeable and skilled operators in the industry. To this end, we research, develop and pilot prototypes for training delivery methods and training aids. Only after these innovative training solutions have been thoroughly tested do we then introduce them to enhance our formal training programs.

OETIO uses state of the art simulations of its equipment to enhance the training experience, and ultimately produce more competant operators.

To learn more about how OETIO uses simulation, choose a simulator from the navigation menu on the right.

Crane Simulator

OETIO uses cutting edge simulations in order to augment the training experience. Students will spend time on our crane simulators in addition to the real machine. We believe that the simulator is a fantasic orientation tool, and prepares the student for their training the the yard.

Concrete Pump Simulator

OETIO uses cutting edge simulations in order to augment the training experience. Students will spend time on our concrete pump simulator in addition to the real machine. We believe that the simulator is a fantasic orientation tool, and prepares the student for their training the the yard.

OETIO uses cutting edge simulations in order to accelerate the student's training experience. The mini excavator simulator (Mini-X) is a scaled down version of and excavator that looks and operates like the real thing. The joystick controls can be interchanged between both CAT and John Deere control configurations.

The Mini-X simulator is an excellent tool for new operators to develop their hand-eye coordination while learning to operate in a safe and controlled environment.

The Mini-X simulator is used as part of our heavy equipment training programs, students will also have access to the Mini-X simulator labratory during off-class hours.
