Acklands-Grainger Announces Plans for New Toronto Distribution Centre

Company hosts event with local partners to commemorate joining the Caledon business community.

Richmond Hill, ON, February 22, 2013 – Acklands-Grainger, Canada’s largest distributor of industrial, 
safety and fastener products, today announced plans to open a 500,000 square-foot distribution centre in 
Caledon in 2014. Construction has begun and the new facility will enhance service to customers across 
Eastern Canada. 
 
“Opening a new distribution centre in Caledon will allow us to deliver more products next-day to our 
customers in Eastern Canada, including Ontario and Quebec,” said Simon Kelly, Acklands-Grainger’s 
Regional Distribution Director. “Acklands-Grainger has been in the Greater Toronto Area for more than 40 
years and we’re looking forward to becoming part of the Caledon business community.” 
 
The new distribution centre is expected to house more than 150,000 industrial supply items such as 
safety supplies, heating, ventilation and air conditioning gear, hand and power tools, and electrical 
equipment. The new facility is projected to employ approximately between 150-200 warehouse and 
logistics employees when complete, including those located in its Richmond Hill distribution centre.
