Organizational Changes at XPS

I am pleased to announce the following organizational changes at Xstrata Process Support

Gregg Hill, formerly Manager, Process Mineralogy has been appointed Manager, Laboratory Services. Gregg will have responsibility for all aspects for of the laboratory and pilot plants including lab systems, work pipeline management, planning and lab efficiency. Reporting to Gregg will be Shelly Starling, Lab Coordinator. Technicians and technologists currently in the lab technician pool will continue to report to Shelly. In addition to his laboratory responsibilities, Gregg will continue to be active in marketing XPS services, mentoring and providing technical project management to his valued clients. 

Virginia Lawson will assume responsibility of General Manager, Process Mineralogy. Virginia will have administrative, management and technical responsibilities for all aspects of the Process Mineralogy business in providing mineral processing and mineral science services to her clients. Her responsibilities will include marketing, mentoring and technical project management. Reporting to Virginia will be Lori Kormos, Principal Mineralogist and the engineers in the mineral processing group. Virginia will report to me in this position.

Norm Lotter, Consulting Metallurgist will work closely with Virginia and Gregg in delivering mineral processing project management, product development and consulting services.
 
Mike Papadakis, formerly Manager Plant Support and Laboratory Operations will focus on his highly successful Plant Support business. Mike will continue to play an active and management role in mineral processing plant start up, commissioning and optimisation in greenfields, brownfields projects and in operating plants. Mike will continue to report to me.
 
Phil Thwaites, Manager Process Control Group and EIT Program, Wilson Pascheto, Manager Materials Technology, Mika Muinonen, Manager Extractive Metallurgy and Patrick Greasley, Manager Business Services will continue in their functions and respective areas on the XPS management team.

Process Control (Program) Engineer for Mine Automation & Control

Reporting to the Process Control Group Manager, the Senior Program Engineer will be based at Fraser Mine, Onaping and will oversee, lead and work on the process control programs / projects at both Fraser and Ni Rim South Mine client sites while also providing input to other projects from XPS consulting services to external and internal clients in the metals, mining and processing businesses.
