Pepper Maintenance technicians are predictive maintenance specialists and offer a variety of services that benefit a host of businesses—specializing in the Agricultural Industry, but also including Health Care, Educational, Aggregate, Municipal, Food Service, Retail, Manufacturing & Processing, Transportation and Construction Sites. The types of services available are:

 

Infrared Analysis: Also called "thermal imaging," infrared thermography is the study and analysis of heat. Infrared thermography uses the law of thermodynamics. Although electrical applications are the most widely recognized, uses extend far beyond the electrical to motors, bearings, drives and belts.

 

Vibration Analysis: Vibration analysis is a natural diagnostic tool for equipment. Vibration--the destructive movement present in all rotating machinery--needs to be understood for infrared analysis to be done in the most effective manner. There are many causes of vibration.

 

Laser Alignment: In the fall of 2010, a new service was added to the menu of options offered by Pepper Maintenance—precision laser alignment in the installation of new and the adjustment of existing equipment. Laser alignment, infrared thermography and vibration analysis work hand-in-hand to bring the latest technology to your facility, making our goal of preventive maintenance more predictable and ultimately, easier to achieve.

 

Ultrasonic Inspection: Ultrasonic inspection is a predictive maintenance tool that can help with the identification and location of electrical anomalies that may not be detectable with conventional methods. Ultrasonic inspection works hand in hand with our very successful and reliable infrared thermography inspection services.

 

Thickness Testing: Thickness testing is used to determine pipe or tank deterioration due to fluid flows and/or caustic metals. It can also be used to determine corrosion rates, estimated life, and overall pipe or tank condition. Ultrasonic thickness gauges can be used to test various materials, such as: metals, plastics, fiberglass, ceramics, and glass.

 

Fan Balancing: Pepper has recently added fan balancing to services offered. Fan balance is vital for the longevity of an asset because unbalance can often be a result of, or cause of, many vibration issues seen in equipment. Fan balance is another piece of the puzzle used in reliability centered maintenance.
