Cambrian College and RBC Ventures Team Up for Student Career Initiative

SUDBURY – Cambrian College has added a new tool to its toolkit to help students prepare for successful careers and land their dream job.
 
Cambrian College is the first post-secondary institution in Canada to offer Prepped directly to current and incoming Cambrian students. Powered by RBC Ventures, Prepped is a free digital and personalized program that helps students and recent grads apply the science of job-search to improve their chances of getting a job.
 
“Prepped offers a custom job search plan and career tools and applies the science of successful job-search to help you land your first job, next job, or dream job. In today’s competitive job market, we help you build an effective job-search plan and develop the confidence you need to go for the job that you want,” says Meg McQuillan, Lead at Prepped. “We go beyond resume building to help you design a plan and apply the strategies that will have the most impact through each stage of your job search. We are excited to help Cambrian students explore, plan and launch their careers.”
 
Cambrian students who choose to use Prepped create their own profile and customize their learning plans within the platform. This includes:
 
  • Resume and cover letter templates
  • Learning library to practice interviews and improve networking
  • Job application tracker
 
“This is an amazing partnership we have with RBC Ventures,” says Paula Gouveia, Vice President Academic at Cambrian College. “Prepped is designed with students in mind. Our goal at Cambrian is to make sure every student has the best shot at an amazing career once they graduate.  Prepped will give our students a competitive advantage when they begin searching for career opportunities because it ensures they start that preparation and planning from the first day they say yes to Cambrian.”
 
Prepped is now available to all current Cambrian College students. New students applying to Cambrian will be provided access to Prepped as part of their offer package to attend Cambrian College. Cambrian College does not access Prepped user data and Prepped protects privacy and safeguards personal information in accordance with its terms and privacy policies.
