Laser Alignment

Apr 24, 2014
Introducing Laser Alignment
Since 1997 when Pepper Maintenance Systems, Inc. began, it has been a growing business that specializes in the service of preventive maintenance through the use of infrared thermography and vibration analysis. We are now proud to be adding a new item to our menu of services—precision laser alignment in the installation of new and the adjustment of existing equipment. Laser alignment, infrared thermography and vibration analysis work hand-in-hand to bring the latest technology to your facility, making our goal of preventive maintenance more predictable and ultimately, easier to achieve.

Laser Equipment
Reliable interpretations and analysis are done using the latest equipment and software programs by our competent data analysts. Used together with vibration analysis, we can discover evidence of misalignment and can confirm the results of that laser alignment check. In the history of working in our industry, we have confirmed that misalignment is the leading cause of objectionable levels of vibration.

Benefits of Using Laser Alignment

There are many benefits for your facility that will result when using laser alignment services:
• Reduces energy usage by lowering friction levels
• Extends equipment life by making machinery run more efficiently
• Lowers normal wear and tear
• Eliminates misalignment
• Lowers occurrence of bad bearings and bent or chipped teeth
• Reduces drive belt wear
• Prevents elliptical static bore
• Precise rotor and stator alignment
• Prevents eccentric armature journals
• Prevents open or shorted windings
• Makes us aware of how future equipment should be built and installed
• Reactive work becomes proactive work
• Increases profitability by lowering down time, lowering cost of maintenance and repairs, and longer equipment life
