Congratulations Rambler & Vale

May 20, 2020
Mining Industry NL members Rambler Metals & Mining and Vale have been recognized for outstanding commitment to health and safety. Rambler’s Ming Mine and Vale’s Voisey’s Bay Mine were awarded the John T. Ryan Safety Trophy in their respective categories - Regional Metal Category (Rambler) and National Select Category (Vale). Traditionally, recipients are recognized on stage in front of a crowd of their peers at the CIM Celebration Banquet during the CIM Annual Convention. Due to the extenuating circumstances this year, the banquet and the convention – scheduled to take place in Vancouver – have been cancelled.

The John T. Ryan Trophies are awarded by Mine Safety Appliances Canada Limited as a memorial to the founder of the company. The trophies are awarded by the Institute to the metalliferous mine, the select mine and the coal mine which in the previous year experienced the lowest reportable injury frequency per 200,000 hours worked in Canada.

Mining Industry NL extends congratulates to Rambler Metals and Mining and Vale on receiving this prestigious industry award for health and safety.
