Bunston also stresses that it is crucial to consider the depth of the water you need to pump, as this will determine the size of the hose needed to get to the bottom of the spot you’re taking water from. Knowing this will help your equipment provider assess your situation so they can provide you with correctly sized pumps and accessories.

 

Before renting a pump, Bunston emphasizes the importance of being proactive by being aware of any issues that may occur if the pump needs to be shut off. If for example, the pump stopping would create a severe problem, Bunston recommends ensuring you connect a backup on site to be safe and avoid running into trouble.
