Copper Talks 2021 - KGHM and the Polish Miedź Employers' Union initiate "Polish TED Talks"

"The future is made of copper" - following this slogan, KGHM Polska Miedź SA together with the Polska Miedź Employers' Association organized a unique meeting during which experts in the field of science, cybersecurity and psychology shared original ideas about the modern world and its development.
 
TED Talks are famous meetings of specialists from various fields broadcast on Youtube. Copper Talks 2021 is an initiative in a similar format, but with its own formula and specificity. The topics discussed during the first event concerned the broadly understood industry, science and technology.
 
- KGHM has been extracting the best from the Earth for 60 years and sharing it with the world. Thanks to copper, we can use electronic devices, we use it in electromobility, renewable energy and medicine. However, we want to share not only the natural wealth of the earth - we want to share inspiration and specific, current knowledge presented by experts with special talents - this is how the idea of ​​Copper Talks is explained by Paweł Ernst, vice president of the Polska Miedź Employers' Association.
 
The event was attended by eminent specialists, including Miłosz Brzeziński , author of books and articles on the practical application of psychology, academic lecturer and effectiveness advisor. In his lecture, he talked about the influence of the environment on our behavior, including relationships with others.
 
The idea of ​​space mining was discussed by Tomasz Rożek, a well-known journalist and physicist dealing with the popularization of science and the author of the popular channel "Nauka to Like". In an online interview, he replied, inter alia, to the question of whether space mines and the extraction of raw materials outside our planet is science fiction or a real perspective.
 
The last guest of Copper Talks 2021 was Adam Haertle , an IT expert dealing with cybersecurity and editor-in-chief of the Trusted Third Party portal. In an interview on contemporary threats, he presented his opinion on the importance of hacker attacks for international relations, which may affect the economic situation of states or political events.
 
Guests known from the Internet media, specialists in fields related to new technologies, or giving us a fresh perspective on reality, and at the same time from different fields - all of this contributed to a meeting that was full of original thoughts about today's society, human functioning and the economy of tomorrow.
