Designing Graduates! Cambrian College Art Students Put on Year-end Show

May 14, 2021

The painting “Kivi” by Sudbury’s Madison Kotyluk earned the President’s Award at this year’s Cambrian College Design and Visual Arts year-end Grad Show.

SUDBURY –  Even though their studies are over, the work of this year’s graduating class of Cambrian College’s Design and Visual Arts program will live on for another year, online.

Every year, grad students in the program put on a year-end exhibit with their work on display at the college.  This year, the COVID pandemic prompted the students and their professors to host their exhibit in the virtual world.

You can now view the Design and Visual Arts Grad Show 2021 at https://www.cambrianartsgradshow.ca/

“We are so pleased to present this exhibit of student artwork,” says Johanna Westby, a professor with Cambrian’s School of Creative Arts and Design.  “Students have worked hard to achieve some fantastic work, despite the challenges presented during this time. We look forward to seeing what these talented artists create in the future!"

As part of the exhibit, several awards were given to students and the works of art they entered:

  • Outstanding Emerging Artist - Gaurav Saini
  • President's Award - Madison Kotyluk
  • Board of Governors' Awards - Reshma Nair and Sabrina Leonard
  • President's Collection Award - Reshma Nair
  • Westby + Neufeld Collection - Madison Kotyluk and Gaurav Saini
