Douglas Kris Joins Compass Minerals as Senior Director of Investor Relations

Compass Minerals announces Douglas Kris has joined the company as senior director of investor relations, effective Dec. 21, 2020.
 
Kris will be responsible for guiding the overall investor relations strategy while cultivating relationships with existing and potential investors, and leading engagement between the company, its shareholders and the general financial community.
 
Kris most recently led investor relations for Montage Resources. He brings more than 25 years of financial industry experience to the role, starting first on a trading desk and then moving into institutional equity sales and investor relations. He spent the majority of his career specializing in natural resource sector investments. Prior to Montage Resources, Kris held positions with KLR Group, Euro Pacific Capital and BMO Capital Markets.
 
“Doug has a proven track record of building integrated and effective investor relations platforms,” said Jamie Standen, chief financial officer. “We are excited to call upon his wealth of experience and the fresh perspective he will bring to our engagement strategy.”
 
Kris received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Saint Bonaventure University. He holds an Investor Relations Charter from the National Investor Relations Institute.

Maintenance Supervisor

Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in a the mine.

This role functions with a high degree of autonomy and reports directly to the Manager, Mine Development, within the Mine Engineering department.

HR Business Partner - Canadian Plants

As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management at the Canadian manufacturing facilities, and serves as a consultant to the local management teams on Human Resource related issues.

Capital Projects Buyer

This position is primarily responsible to support Capital Sourcing for the Canadian Business Units.

Environmental Health and Safety Systems Coordinator

The person in this position is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System at the Goderich Mine.

Accountant Operations

Responsibilities encompass operations, capital and financial reporting including variance analysis. 

Mine Supervisor

Following the mine plan, the Mining Supervisor is accountable for the safe, efficient and quality of work performed by the Mining Team.
