Jul 1, 2014
SYRACUSE, N.Y. … Power management company Eaton is increasing efficiency and productivity on the water, offering a wide range of solutions available for marine and offshore applications through its Crouse-Hinds business. Designed specifically for hazardous locations and corrosive environments, a range of marine lighting and wiring devices will be on display Oct. 9-11, 2013, at the International WorkBoat Show in booth #1312 at the Morial Convention Center, New Orleans.

“Our broad portfolio of marine and offshore products allows us to better serve and develop solutions to address the evolving needs of offshore platforms, ship owners, shipyards, OEMs and other marine applications,” said Bob Courcy, director of drilling and marine, Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds division.

At the show, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with experts and explore the latest products and technologies serving this diverse market. In addition to marine wiring devices, Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds business will be showcasing its innovative light-emitting diode (LED) solutions, including floodlighting, linear LED and targeted LED illumination. Additional lighting products will include its Pauluhn line of area and emergency lighting solutions, including linear fluorescent, marine interior, floodlighting and marine brass technologies.

In addition to appearing at this year’s show, several of the lighting solutions can already be found on many marine vessels, including the F/V Wizard, a well-known ship featured on theDiscovery Channel’s hit reality series, “Deadliest Catch.” Several products on display have been used to enhance visibility, durability and safety, including five FMV LED floodlights that illuminate the Wizard’s wheelhouse, sorting table and transom deck. The vessel is also anticipating the installation of additional solutions found in the Crouse-Hinds booth, including the ProMax Intrepid, a linear fluorescent fixture designed to increase energy efficiency and help ensure high performance.
