GALAXY BROADBAND EXPANDS CURRENT TELEPORT OPERATIONS

Aug 23, 2018

This spring Galaxy Broadband expanded their current Teleport operations. The decision was to move their existing Ku band network to the Galaxy Teleport/Head Office in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.  Galaxy’s Mississauga Teleport uplinks not only 2 of their Ku services but also one of their C band networks.

“This gives us better control and more flexibility over our networks with quicker response times for customer network integration,” stated Rick Hodgkinson, President and CEO of Galaxy. “Further to that the Galaxy Data Centre in Mississauga has been expanded and updated with 10 times battery back capabilities, upgraded tushery diesel back up and 2nd Generation NEMA filtered and cooled racks connected to new facility diverse, carrier redundant fibre connections.  These upgrade all help ensure worry free, secured, reliable services to our customers.”

All of Galaxy’s data centres and uplink facilities are connected via our MPLS network which allows seamless transfer of bits from any Galaxy operated data centre to another.

The new Teleport is online and ready to deliver our networks to your remote project!
