Information and Communications Technology Council Career Connect Program

If your company is planning on hiring a graduate for a position related to the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, you may be eligible to obtain funding to subsidize this position.
 
Companies can obtain support for up to 50% of a graduate’s salary up to $18,000. Internships must be a minimum of 3 months and end no later than February 27, 2015.
 
A key objective of the Career Focus program is to provide recent graduates with the skills and work experience to succeed in the ICT sector.


What type of applicants are eligible?
 
Hiring company must:
• Be a Canadian company in the private sector
• Offer a job related to the digital economy
• Offer a full-time work opportunity (>30 hours per week) for a minimum of 3 months
• Be in a high-demand sector
• Provide a minimum of 50% of the employees salary
 
Potential interns must:
• Be a post-secondary graduate
• Be between the ages of 15-30
• Be unemployed or underemployed
• Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance
• Cannot have previously worked for the company
• Interns cannot start working for the host company until after funding has been approved
• Have not previously participated in a Career Focus project
