Join Randy McDonald, Armtec Drainage’s Director of Engineering and Frank Klita, Senior Sales Representative, for the exciting second part of our 2-part Culvert series – Culvert Design 201! This presentation will build on the basics of culvert design covered in Culvert Design 101 and will focus in- depth on the structural design and durability of culverts. Additionally, the presenters will review considerations and best practices for culvert installations.



 
Randy McDonald, P.Eng.
Director of Engineering, Armtec Drainage Solutions
 
Randy McDonald is the Director of Engineering for Armtec’s Drainage Solution business. His range of experience spans design, sales, manufacturing and applications engineering over the 35 years he has been in the industry. He was deeply involved in the development of Armtec’s highly successful Bridge-Plate product and is a preeminent resource on Buried Metal Structure design, construction and applications. Randy participates in various technical committees including CSA, TAC, CSPI and ASTM.
 
Randy is a Professional Civil Engineer licensed in numerous jurisdictions across Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil) degree from the University of Waterloo.

 
Frank Klita
Senior Sales Representative, Armtec Drainage Solutions
 
Frank is a Senior Sales Representative with Armtec’s Alberta team. He has over 33 years of expertise with Armtec Drainage Products, working in various roles in customer service and sales. Frank has extensive experience working with municipalities, contractors and consultants to help identify and implement the right drainage solution for a wide range of challenging projects. Recent projects he has worked on include a large DCSP structure for a railway overpass, an Aluminum Box Culvert for a local County stream crossing, a steel sheeting wall for an environmental project and oil-water separator units for private and municipal projects.
