Northern Mat & Bridge Ball Hockey Showdown

Oct 13, 2015

We hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday!

Here at Northern Mat & Bridge, we made our employees work up their appetite before taking off for the long weekend. Continuing with our Canada’s Healthy Workplace commitment, last week’s Fun Friday event was a ball hockey showdown.

During Friday’s lunch hour, our Transportation department (aka The Mud Mat Monsters) faced off against our Operations department (aka The Temporary Access Kings). Cheerleaders came from all departments to watch the boys sweat out some friendly competition.

The Operations team took home the trophy with a final score of 12–7.

The event was a great success: boosting moral, having fun and making for a healthier workplace overall. In fact, it was such a hit; our sales team has challenged Operations (Ops) for the title. On October 19th, The Mud Mat Monsters will take on The Savage Swamp Mats. Check back to find out who will hold the champion title.

Lastly, we would like to send a big thank-you shout-out to our HSE Manager, Kelley Winter, for organizing the event, and to Carson Kowal, VP Operations, for officiating.
