Join Patrick Biro and Roger Goobie for Culvert Design 101, an overview of culvert solutions! The presenters will begin by reviewing basic culvert hydraulics and will then discuss considerations in the selection of culvert locations. They will finish up with reviewing the necessity of, and best practices in, end-treatment selection. Various culvert products will be highlighted including Hel-Cor, BOSS 2000, and Multi-Plate.

Patrick Biro, P.Eng.
Region Engineer, Armtec Drainage Solutions
 
Patrick is a Region Engineer with Armtec, with 14 years of design experience with buried steel structures. He has been involved in the specification, design, and construction of a wide range of projects from small-stream culvert crossings to long-span structural plate overpasses on mine haul roads. He has spent 12 years as a design engineer with Armtec, and currently provides his expertise on projects in Western Canada.
 
Patrick has a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and his experience extends the full range of Armtec Drainage products.

 
Roger Goobie, CSP
Sales Representative, Armtec Drainage Solutions
 
Roger is Armtec’s Sales Representative for Newfoundland. He has a combined 25 years of experience with infrastructure products, beginning with 13 years in product manufacturing and now with 12 years in civil engineering product sales. He has been involved in the installation of a wide range of products from small forestry crossings to large structural plate underpasses on the Trans-Canada Highway.
 
Roger holds an Accounting Diploma and is a Certified Sales Professional from the CPSA Sales Institute.
