PROGRESSIVE RETURN TO WORK FOR THE MEGLAB TEAM

Jul 14, 2020

We salute the work of our teams who continue to manufacture products while maintaining the highest quality and respecting the preventive measures in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Although a small team has provided essential services over the past few weeks, a plan for a gradual return to full resumption of activities is being drawn up in accordance with directives issued by the government and in accordance with CNESST standards.

The return of workers will take place at the rate of requests from customers, who are also gradually resuming their activities.

For workers
  • Workers who can perform teleworking tasks will continue as well. Our health and safety team makes sure to communicate good practices in terms of teleworking and provides all the equipment necessary for good ergonomics.
  • For workers moving to our factories in Val-d´Or and Malartic, the preventive measures plan available on our website ensures smooth operations. Each worker who returns to the workplace must redo a reception procedure, undergo training and sign a form before resuming their duties.
  • Hours of work, breaks and meals have been arranged to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.
  • The facilities have been divided into work areas and each worker must remain in his department. Spaces respecting the limits of social distancing have been created. When a task requires closer collaboration, wearing the visor is mandatory.
  • Strict rules regarding common areas such as conference rooms and dining rooms have been put in place. A maximum number of people per room must be respected.
  • A quarantine of packages received for a period of 15 to 24 hours is mandatory at our shipping / receiving department.

For visitors
  • Although we favor virtual meetings through secure applications, a limited number of visitors must be welcomed. Each visitor is required to sign a statement regarding COVID-19 and certify understanding and compliance with the preventive measures in place.
In accordance with our values, health and safety remain our priorities and guide our actions on a daily basis. Our preventive measures plan is evolving and we continue to innovate to reduce the spread of the virus.

Consult our prevention plan

We have also developed an intervention protocol in the event that one of our workers suffers from the disease. We will be able to quickly identify the people who have been in contact with this worker and to deploy exceptional disinfection measures.

We reiterate our commitments and encourage you to continue your efforts to protect the health of all. Together we are stronger.

MEGLAB COMMITMENT
  • Ensure the safety of all workers
  • Continue to offer quality products and services
  • Support the community in efforts to fight COVID-19
