PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE FOR TURKEY’S FIRST SUSTAINABLE VILLAGE

Jun 9, 2021

Bureau Veritas has been awarded a project management assistance contract for the Nefes Assos Village project, Turkey’s first sustainable village.

Nefes Assos is located in an area overlooking the old city of Behramkale in the Çanakkale province. The village – now under construction – is designed to be a sustainable, self-sufficient, self-farming settlement. It will have zero waste and carbon targets and water recycling systems, and will be completely powered by solar energy.

Bureau Veritas and Nefes Assos have jointly developed the Nefes Assos Standards (NAS) documentation. These standards will set an example for future settlements.

Bureau Veritas is providing project management assistance for the Nefes Assos Village project, contributing to the project design process, in-office activities and field assignments, and the management of staff from different disciplines for each project phase.

The village’s construction will be completed by 2022.
