Redpath Canada and SafeSight Exploration Win Safety Innovation Award
Redpath Canada Limited and SafeSight Exploration Inc. are the recipients of the Ontario Mine Contractors Safety Association’s (OMCSA) Safety Innovation Award for 2020. The Redpath and SafeSight collaboration has developed the SafeSight MRC Rail RunnerTM, a significant advancement in the safe use of the Mechanized Raise Climber (MRC) for mining and civil applications.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent and/or the Project Manager, the primary role of the Mechanical Foreman is the direct supervision the underground and surface mechanical personnel to ensure that all mobile and fixed equipment is maintained, repaired and functioning according to project requirements and safety standards.
The primary role of the Mechanic is to perform preventive maintenance and repairs to diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated equipment.
Under the supervision of the Superintendent/ Shift Supervisor, the primary role of a Cagetender is operate mineshaft conveyances which may include skips and/or cages and other devices that are used to move workers and material within the mine shaft safely.
