Student from School Maintained by Vale in Indonesia Records Video about the Importance of Water

That was the question raised by Nadyenka Naeva Tandiabang, a fifth-year student at Lawewu YPS Elementary school in Sorowako, Indonesia, in a special video in which she talks about the conscious use of the natural resource. The daughter of Vale’s physician Darius Tandiabang joined the Erlangga English Speech Contest, an annual competition organized by one of the largest textbook publishers in Indonesia, which addressed environmental issues in this year’s edition.
 
Chosen to represent the Lawewu YPS Elementary School, a school financed by Vale in Indonesia, Naeva has already won the semifinals against schools from South Sulawesi and is advancing to the grand final with elementary, high school, and university students of major schools from other provinces of Indonesia.  the results were announced on Nov. 20th, Naeva did not win.
 
The 11-year old student talked confidently about the importance of water for human beings, its distribution on the planet and the importance of stepping up efforts to preserve this resource in face of the global water crisis. She produced the video together with professors from her school.
