Summer Fieldwork Safety
This half-day workshop will prepare your environmental field crews and summer students to perform environmental monitoring in a safe manner.
Topics include: Safety plans, communication procedures, Personal Protective Equipment, Wildlife Encounters, Vehicle Safety and Environmental Conditions.
INSTRUCTOR
CRISTINA COLANTONIO
Environmental Technician – Field Lead
Cristina Colantonio has experience with environmental monitoring for clients across Northeastern Ontario. She is familiar with health and safety protocols at active and inactive mine sites as well as their internal and external reporting requirements.
Ms. Colantonio has performed surface and groundwater sampling for various mining clients in support of baseline studies, operational regulatory requirements (environmental compliance approvals, permit to take water and site Closure Plans). Furthermore, she has a variety of volunteer experience in the environmental field including nature tour development in the natural environment and assisting in terrestrial surveys.

Environmental Management System/ Compliance Specialist
The successful applicant will provide support to our senior permitting specialists as well as our environmental compliance staff in projects for the industrial sector, focused on mining, forestry and aggregate clients.
