Multimedia, games, trivia, a trip to the underground mine - on the occasion of the 60th anniversary, KGHM has prepared a unique mobile exhibition about the past and future of Polska Miedź. In June, a special truck with a multimedia exhibition will set off in Poland, which will appear in cities and smaller towns all over Poland.
- We cannot invite all Poles to our mines and steel mills to show the process of mining and processing copper, but thanks to the exhibition and digital reality, we will be able to present our fascinating world to thousands of people all over the country. Multimedia screens will allow you to move to our underground city and demonstrate the reality of KGHM. This is how we want to celebrate our jubilee. Copper is the raw material of the future that appears in virtually every aspect of our lives. We educate through fun and the latest technologies, said Marcin Chludziński, President of the Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź SA
President Marcin Chludziński added that KGHM is the proud heir to the outstanding specialists in the mining industry in the country and the current leader in the production of copper and silver in the world. - The exhibition is a tribute to our crew for hard work and faith in the company - emphasized the President of KGHM.
Treasures of the earth in sight and hands
Visitors to the mobile exhibition will see films about the mines, smelters and ore enrichment plants in the Copper Basin. The attraction will be imitations of silver and gold bars and copper granules. You will be able to touch the exhibits and check how much they weigh. There will be interesting facts about red metal and other raw materials. We can reveal that viewers will find out, among other things, what the copper anode has to do with the Sigismund's bell in the Wawel Cathedral. And all this in a modern form, as befits a copper giant.
Past and future
The mobile exhibition will also tell about the history of the discovery of copper in Poland, but also inform in a friendly form about the technological sequence and systems for creating workings. Visitors, both older and younger, will be, among others an info kiosk with games and interesting facts about copper was waiting.
In line with KGHM's anniversary slogan, "The future is made of copper", we will also show viewers where red metal is currently used, i.e. in the production of space probes, wind turbines or in the computer industry.
Learning and playing with copper
The display in the tira is kept in colors reminiscent of KGHM, i.e. copper, silver and gold. In addition, the attraction will be, among others original costumes of a miner and a steelworker.
Travels with copper around Poland
The mobile exhibition will set off on a trip around Poland in June and by the end of September it will appear not only in larger cities, but also in smaller towns. We will provide information on the route of the copper truck on our social channels and in local and national media. Start of the exhibition and general presentation on June 2 in the program Question for Breakfast TVP2 .
