Step 1: RECOVER: The first step is to recover as much purified water as possible for reuse:

Step 2: PRECIPITATE: The second is to dealing with the residual concentrated liquid contaminants. This requires precipitating all of the dissolved contaminants from the solution as solid particles.
Step 3: DEWATER: In the dewatering step, we concentrate the precipitate contaminants by reducing their moisture content to end up with a small residual volume of dry solid waste. Dewatering takes two alternate paths, Liquid and Solids:
