Bartolucci Announces Investment In Local Manufacturer’s Expansion

Apr 22, 2013

A Sudbury industrial company is growing its mining supply and services and creating new jobs in the city, thanks to an investment of $442,500 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci announced today.

HLS Hard-Line Solutions Inc., a leading supplier of remote and tele-remote control systems to the mining industry, is expanding their existing building by 4750 square feet to accommodate the acquisition of a new CNC lathe and a pipe bending machine. Beyond the temporary construction jobs, this expansion project has added over 20 new jobs to the payroll.

“Hard-Line has earned an enviable reputation as an innovative manufacturer of ground-breaking products for the mining industry,” said Bartolucci. “I am very pleased that the NOHFC could support the growth of this company and the creation of new jobs in our region.”

Hard-Line develops its products from the ground up, utilizing years of experience in mining, electronics, electrical design, software development and mechanical design. The manufacturing process has enabled Hard-Line to develop new and innovative products that save lives while increasing production in the global mining industry.

“We are very grateful for the NOHFC investment in our company. This will go a long way in continuing our growth in the mining sector in Sudbury, Canada and internationally. This is a fine example of how government partnership with the private sector enables job and economic growth. Through the NOHFC’s contribution, along with the support of Rick Bartolucci, Hard-Line continues to be a major player in the mining industry,” stated Walter Siggelkow, President of HLS Hard-Line Solutions Inc.

“The NOHFC’s Enterprises North Program is one of several programs aligned to support private sector investment and job growth in Northern Ontario,” concluded Bartolucci. “I am proud of our government’s unwavering commitment in helping to lever many new projects in business and industry throughout the North.”
