We’ve vaccinated over 400 India-based Weir employees and 300 of their family members against COVID-19

At Weir, we think ‘Safety First’ and we are committed to the Health and Wellbeing of all our employees across the world.
 
In countries where Governments have given companies the opportunity to purchase vaccines privately we are working with our partners on the ground to procure vaccinations for employees (and if possible, for their families too), for example, in India and in the Philippines.
 
Here’s an example of where we recently put our commitment into action, when we vaccinated over 400 Weir employees and 300 of their family members at the Weir facility in Bridage Rubix, Bangalore.
 
Following detailed discussions with the vaccination company to agree the safest way to proceed, we then set up the centre in just 48 hours and administered the vaccine to over 700 individuals. Our work isn’t done just yet, as we will be doing it all over again in 90 days when the 2nd dose is administered.
 
Commenting on the event, Weir Minerals (India) President Surendra Menon said:
 
“Employees were overwhelmed to hear the news of our vaccination drive. This pop-up vaccination centre has helped them to get the vaccination for themselves and their family members in a very secure and safe environment. I am enormously proud to work for an organisation that is so committed to the health and wellbeing of its employees, and I am extremely grateful to our Weir employee volunteers for making the day such a success. It’s a fantastic achievement”
 
 And Business Unit Head of Weir (EnSci) Sourabh Gupta said:
 
“Employee safety has always been our utmost priority. During the pandemic, we went the extra mile to make sure we provide the utmost care and support possible to all our employees and their families. The COVID-19 vaccination drive was a great success and received a lot of positive reciprocations from our employees and their families. Thanks and kudos to the entire team for making it happen.”

Hose Builder

Carries out rubber lining and hose making processes according to standard safety procedures. Fabricates and process metal and rubber components in accordance with specified instructions. 
Account Manager-Capital Projects
