Ontario Trap Rock (OTR) is a specialty aggregate quarry that sits on a 1,000 acre site on the shores of Lake Huron. The aggregate deposit mined from this location is known as diabase or trap rock.

Our state-of-the-art crushing equipment allows us to produce a high quality cubical material, which we ship throughout Canada and the United States to be used for the following:
• rail ballast
• rock wool insulation
• high quality asphalt
• ready mix concrete
• industrial mineral applications
OTR diabase is currently used throughout the Great Lakes region by a number of Class I, Regional and Shortline Railroads.
