CanAlaska Ventures Ltd. is a diversified mineral exploration company focusing on Uranium and Gold projects. The Company is currently acquiring uranium projects in North America and carrying out exploration on gold projects in New Zealand. CanAlaska is aggressively engaged in uranium exploration in Canada's Athabasca Basin. The company presently holds a land portfolio in the basin exceeding 1.5 million acres (approx. 640,000 hectares). Present exploration is centered on property adjacent to the two largest and richest uranium mine deposits in the world, the McArthur River and Cigar Lake mines. The average grade of uranium oxide recoverable from these deposits exceed 17.0% as compared to established uranium production facilities worldwide where grades of 0.5% to 2.0% represent the norm. CanAlaska is presently undertaking airborne electromagnetic surveys focusing on the identification of similar deposits at depth.
