BORETS U.S. NAMES LEKIC VP OF SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT HOUSTON (Sept. 17, 2015) – Borets, a global leader in the engineering, manufacturing, sales and service of electric submersible pump (ESP) systems, has named Obren Lekic as vice president of sales and business development for the U.S., to be located in Houston. With more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Lekic will serve as a key member of the executive team, spearheading business development initiatives and increasing sales by identifying new opportunities for growth, implementing strategic sales and marketing tactics and leading regular assessments of existing and potential sales channels and products. Lekic joined Borets as a privately held company in 2005 where he served as the deputy general director for business development and marketing responsible for working alongside shareholders, executive and senior management staff to expand the Russian company into the international market. Lekic went on to serve as the VP of the Eastern Hemisphere, Borets International FZE, where he continued to assist senior executives with securing major business contracts throughout the international transition. “We are pleased to have Obren join our Borets’ team in Houston and guide our company’s strategic direction,” said Keith Russell, vice president of marketing, Borets International. “His extensive industry experience in technical engineering and sales management, paired with his vast global reach, makes him an invaluable asset to our company.” Lekic received a degree in mining engineering from the University of Leeds, UK, and a master’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University at Fort Collins, Colo., USA. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Borets has pride in their use of innovative equipment. Borets’ Vortex Gas Separators GSVB5-250 operating principle is based on using the free vortex for gas separation. The Vortex Gas Separator doesn’t have a separating rotor, which sets it above similar models in the industry. The Vortex Gas Separator estimated run-life could reach up to 3,500 days with solid content up to 200mg/l. http://goo.gl/jiVmVq
