Digital Surveying was established in South Africa in August 2002 after successfully entering the market as Downhole Surveys Australia. Using the latest technology in borehole deviation equipment, we have established ourselves as the industry leader in terms of quality and customer service.

Over the last several years we have carried out downhole survey work in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Guinea, Tanzania and Ghana. Our experience throughout Africa enables our company to undertake any project in the most difficult conditions. Our experience with all surface related surveying is complemented by our vast knowledge and expertise in underground surveying environments. More recently Digital Surveying developed a totally new method of surveying for long inclined boreholes for Anglo Gold’s underground exploration program in South Africa, which has increased survey productivity by 500%.

 

In January 2004 Paul Wilkie, Operations Manager of Digital Surveying, commenced marketing to introduce quality directional surveying services to Northern and West Africa. In April 2004 we commenced operations from our location at Accra Ghana. We have effectively maintained operations in Ghana and are responsible for assisting with quality control systems for major companies in the region.

 

Geophysical borehole surveying is rapidly growing in Africa as a tool in evaluating the resources available. Digital Surveying has identified the need for professional quality controlled services and expertise in both the Directional and Geophysical spheres, launching the Geophysical Survey department at the beginning of 2012. This new offering includes the supply/sale of some of the most technologically advanced equipment available to this Geophysical sector.
