We have been a proud member of the Dundas community since 1998. The Dundas Quarry, has been operated in Dundas since the early 1900s.

 

The majority of our products are all used within an hour’s drive of Dundas and benefit our community by providing aggregate products to the construction, steel, glass manufacturing, automotive, and agricultural industries.

 

Construction projects that you may be familiar with have used aggregates from the Dundas Quarry. These include water treatment plants (Jack Darling/Lorne Park, Lakeview, Oakville water and wastewater treatment plants), institutional projects (Hamilton General Hospital and St Joe’s Hospital Expansions, McMaster University Expansions of the Engineering Building, Football Training Fields and DeGroote School of Business), 400 series highways and local road improvement projects (407 ETR, Lincoln Alexander Parkway, QEW Expansion, Bronte Road, Appleby Line, Highway 6), Hamilton bridges (Burlington Skyway Bridge), Copps Coliseum, Air Canada Centre (ACC), Flamborough’s Innovation Centre, and the City of Hamilton’s Bayfront Park.

 

Lafarge Dundas is known as a responsible operator, and has won many awards and distinctions. Most notably, the site received the prestigious Award of Excellence from the Ontario Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (OSSGA) in 2001. This award recognizes the site’s outstanding achievement in property stewardship, progressive rehabilitation and community relations. Lafarge Dundas is the third site in Ontario to receive this award.
