Golden Dory Resources Corp.
Sokoman Iron Corp. (“Sokoman Iron”  SIC-TSX.V), is a Newfoundland and Labrador based junior mineral exploration company focused on exploration for Iron Ore in the prolific Labrador Trough, Canada’s premiere Iron Ore producing district. Formerly Golden Dory Resources Corp., Sokoman Iron was formed out of a re-structuring of Golden Dory in September of this year. The name change reflects managements’ focus on iron ore and the name Sokoman is derived from the Sokoman Formation, the geological rock unit that hosts the vast iron deposits in the Labrador Trough.

The Iron Horse project is 100% owned by Sokoman Iron, and the project is an entirely new discovery in the Labrador Trough.  The Iron Horse discovery shares many of the characteristics of current and proposed mining operations in the developed portion of the Labrador Trough and lies a mere 55 kilometers east of the common carrier railway servicing the Schefferville area.

In 2012, eight diamond drill holes, the only known holes drilled on the property, tested extensive magnetic anomalies at Iron Horse and all eight holes intersected potentially significant iron mineralization.  The drilling was highlighted by a 354 meter intercept grading 27.8% Fe at Anomaly A, one of the widest intercepts reported in the Trough in recent years. The property also has demonstrated potential to host direct shipping ores (DSO) based on 2011 rock sample data which returned assays in excess of 53% Fe, and a 2013 airborne gravity survey which outlined targets in the same area as the high grade surface sampling.  The project is available for option or joint venture and the company is seeking partners to advance the project.
