Hecla Mining Company (NYSE:HL) is the largest primary silver producer in the U.S. and one of the lowest-cost producers, and a growing low-cost gold producer. The Company has two primary silver mines in Alaska (Greens Creek) and Idaho (Lucky Friday) and the recently acquired Casa Berardi gold mine in Quebec, which is expected to produce approximately 60,000 ounces of gold in the second half of 2013.  Expected silver production this year is between 8 and 9 million ounces.
 
In addition to its diversified silver and gold operating and cash-flow generating base, Hecla has a number of exploration properties and pre-development projects in five world-class silver and gold mining districts in North America, which are expected to grow silver production to 15 million ounces by 2017. With an active exploration and development program, the company has consistently grown its reserve base for future production, with 2013 reserves totaling 150 million ounces of silver.
 
Established in 1891, Hecla is headquartered in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and has a sister office in Vancouver, B.C. The company’s common stock has been traded on the New York Stock Exchange for over 40 years.
