Heli Explore Inc.

Heli Explore inc. began it's operations in December 2005 in North-Bay, Ontario. After a few months of preparation, our first helicopter, a Eurocopter Astar 350BA+, was leased for a one year period. In the spring of 2006, Heli Explore inc. was awarded its first contract. The compagny was hired to support goose hunting in Moosonee, Ontario. Immediately after the completion of this contract, the aircraft went to Victoria Island, in the Arctic, to carry out a mining drill program for a few weeks. A third contract was awarded to the company from Miramar Mining to provide mining and drill support for three months.

 

During the fall of 2006 and the following spring, the company increased its fleet by purchasing its first aircraft. This aircraft was also an Astar 350BA+. In the 2007 season, Heli Explore inc. was able to dedicate one aircraft to the Miramar Mining project while the other one was based in Quebec to serve the exploration industry and to provide forest fire suppresion.

 

In 2008, the company purchased the leased aircraft and committed the entire fleet to Miramar Mining program. Since the launch of Heli Explore inc. in 2005, the company has flown over 6000 hours without accident on different projects all over Canada.

 

In December 2009, the company moved it's headquarters to La Sarre, Quebec in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region and now has a secondary base in Sudbury, Ontario since May 2011.
