Kopy Goldfields AB (publ)

Kopy Goldfields holds 13 bedrock gold exploration and production licenses covering 2,107 sq km, all controlled in full by the company. All projects are located in the Lena Goldfields area of the Irkutsk region of Russia. The projects are in different development stages. Krasny project is at the current stage the most promosing and after several succesful stages of drilling, the Company has released an initial JORC-compliant mineral resource estimation for a part of the project showing 1.37 Moz of Inferred and Indicated gold resources according to the international JORC-code, signed by OOO Miramine, Russia. Positive scoping study results confirm a potential for 60 koz of open pit prduction of gold per year during 18 years with financial returns of USD 360 million in free cash flow.
 
• Koplovskoye has reported mineral resources within the international JORC-code, signed by SRK Consulting, Reno Office, US.
• Kavkaz  is in the advanced exploration phase.
• Uspenskiy-deposit (project 3) at Prodolny Licensed are done with first stage of resource drilling.
• Takhtykan-license, Bannoye- and Bannoye East deposits at Vostochnaya-license; Gromovsky North-, Obrucheva-Vladmirovskiy- and • Zolotoy-deposit on Prodolnyylicense; Krasny East-, and Krasny North deposit on Krasny-license and Kapustinskiy-deposit at • Pravovesenniy-licenses are in early exploration phase.
• In December 2012, the Company announced the aquisition of 6 new licenses covering 1 852 sq km. The licenses are located in the Maly Patom area of Lena Goldfields, within geological structures with strong potential for elephant gold discoveries.
• During the third quarter 2013, the Company filed an application to return the Verkhnyaya Orlovka-license and the Purpolskaya-license to the Russian state.

All licenses (apart from the licenses acquired in 2012) are geographically concentrated within a 40 x 20 km large area, within 40 to 75 km distance to the area’s main town Bodaibo. The distance from the deposits to the main road is between one and ten km. From Kavkaz in the west to Takhtykan in the east the distance is only 25 km, creating a good opportunity for servicing several deposits from one processing plant. The infrastructure is well developed with water supply, electricity and federal roads to the deposits. The deposits are located approximately 100 km from Sukhoy Log (60 Moz) which is the largest undeveloped gold deposit in Russia. Artemovsky district (Lena Goldfields) is the target exploration area with 20 Moz of historic alluvial gold production.
