Solvista Gold Corporation
Solvista Gold Corporation (TSX-V: SVV, OTCQX: SVVZF) is a gold-exploration company that has made two significant discoveries in Colombia. The Caramanta Project is now being explored by IAMGOLD under a $36 million 70% earn-in agreement and the Guadalupe Project, where initial drilling has confirmed the presence of high grade gold bearing veins. Both are located in the province of Antioquia, a region known for its mining-friendly culture, safety and access to modern hydro-electric power. The areas surrounding Solvista's projects are rich in historic gold mining tradition, with more than 60 million ounces of gold having been discovered within the past five years. Solvista is well funded and, with its partners, plans to complete aggressive exploration programs at both projects during 2014, as well as reviewing other assets for potential acquisition.
