This quarry was visited on July 25th, 2003. Omya continues to mine this deposit to feed their plant in Perth. The quarry is being expanded once again. Annual production in 2000 was 250,000 tons and quarry reserves currently stand at over 5 million tons. In 2000, a 5-year expansion program was completed at both the quarry and the plant in Perth. Calcitic marble is mined to produce high-purity, fine-grind calcite for fillers, with terrazzo chips and landscaping stone as secondary products.
