Belevion

Belevion was founded in 1992 by four experienced geoscientists dedicated to innovation, mineral exploration, mining and engineering. Their goal: to create a high standard company while maintaining an open and friendly approach.

A skilled team, professional services and a free, open minded attitude towards client needs insured a rapid company development.

By 2000, Belevion became the Romanian leader in geophysical & geological services growing and perfecting ever since. Beyond Romania, the company extended its services to both EU and non-EU space, in countries like Turkey, Slovakia, Germany and Austria. Belevion continued to grow, covering various market segments such as topography and geotechnical surveys. Young geoscientists constantly joined Belevion insuring a flow of fresh new ideas.

In 2001, the subsidiary “Belevion Geotopo Deva” was created to cover ever increasing demand for countrywide topographic services. High quality services quickly made Geotopo a success.

By 2002, Belevion spun off its engineering surveying division named “GeoProfessional”. Providing the latest geophysical methods and techniques for shallow targets as well as bathymetric studies, GeoProfessional took the lead of a constantly advancing market.

In 2005, environmental and urban monitoring services were added to the company’s range of activities, still fully held within Belevion.

In 2005, Belevion has been awarded the German standard TÜV CERT (Certificate Registration No. 75 100 20227) and implemented the respective quality management system “Application in geology, geophysics, engineering, and exploration. Project planning and appraisal in geology, mining, environment and zonal planning”. This system is applied to all of Belevion activities from field work to finished product.

By 2008, excluding the subsidiaries, Belevion employs a wide variety of skilled people who work together to meet diverse client needs: geoscientists (geology & geophysics), engineers (cadastre and geodesy), ecologists, urban planners & architects, IT officers, technicians and specialized field workers, coordinated by a flexible administrative department. This work force sustains a number of challenging projects in mineral exploration, mining development, urban development, industrial and civil construction, and environmental monitoring.
