Legend Gold Corp.

Legend Gold Corp. (TSXV:LGN), previously North Atlantic Resources Ltd., has been exploring for gold in the Republic of Mali ("Mali"), West Africa since 2002 and presently has six gold exploration projects comprising over 730 square kilometres. Legend has made two significant gold discoveries in Mali through aggressive regional exploration programs. Located in southern Mali, the Tiekoumala (previously called FT) gold project is our most advanced discovery with a NI 43-101 compliant resource. calculation (2007) of 7,880,000 tonnes at a grade of 0.95 grams per tonne for 241,000 ounces of gold in the indicated mineral resource category and 10,550,000 tonnes at a grade of 1.05 grams gold per tonne for 353,000 ounces of gold in the inferred mineral resource category.  Located in western Mali the Lakanfla and Tintimbu permits (collectively called Lakanfla) form a key part of the Company's strategy to explore and expand its gold discoveries along strike of the 11 million ounce Sadiola Hill Mine ("Sadiola").  Lakanfla is contiguous to the southern boundary of the Sadiola Mine and is situated 10 kilometres southeast of the Sadiola Hill Mine main open pit. There are four gold occurrences within the Lankafla permit known as Zones 1, 2, 3and 4. Lakanfla is located along the Sadiola mine trend which has produced more than 17 million ounces of gold from the Yatela and Sadiola Hill ore bodies and the Fe3 and Fe4 satellite pits.  Legend has recently acquired the  Mougnina property which is an early stage gold exploration property located 8 kilometres from the Syama mine, owned and operated by Resolute Mining Limited. The property consists of an exploration permit that covers approximately 120.5 square kilometres in the south Mali gold belt.

 

The  Lakanfla,  Mougnina, Tiekoumala, Npanyala, Fogoyafara, Diokeba, and Tinntia properties make up our current mineral exploration permits in Mali.
