Background
The Diversification of Exploration Investment Partnership (SIDEX Limited Partnership) was established by the Government of Quebec and the Solidarity Fund QFL.
Mission
The mission of SIDEX is to invest in companies engaged in mineral exploration in Quebec in order to:
• Diversify Quebec's mineral base by promoting exploration for minerals with attractive market potential;
• Stimulate investments for the exploration of existing mining districts that show strong potential for diversification;
• Open new territories to exploration and investment where the potential for discovery is significant.
Investment Strategy
SIDEX benefits from an investment budget of $50 million over a period of five years.
SIDEX looks at exploration projects that offer the likelihood for diversification and a strong potential for discovery.
SIDEX is an investment company that acts mainly by investing in the equity of companies.
