Devcon products have been around for as much as 50 years ago when Plastic Steel® was first introduced. Since then, Devcon has developed many well-known OEM and MRO products such as: 5 Minute® Epoxy, 2 Ton®, Plastic Welder™, Flexane® Urethanes, Wear Guard™ and Floor Patch™ to name a few.
High-performance, metal-filled epoxies permanently repair or rebuild critical equipment and quickly return it to service, minimizing expensive downtime and reducing costs. Metal-filled epoxies offer excellent resistance to a broad range of chemicals, good temperature resistance to 350°F, and a room temperature cure. All can be effectively applied by plant personnel without special training.
Wear Guard™ abrasion-resistant systems protect many types of industrial equipment from abrasion damage with the addition of silicon carbide or alumina ceramic beads. Wear Guard™ products withstand punishment that would put unprotected equipment out of service, handling particulates from less than 1/16" to less than 1/2" and operating temperatures up to 450F.
Flexane®, versatile urethane compounds, are used to make fast, economical, long-lasting rubber repairs to equipment such as conveyor belts and rubber rolls, and is also used to create non-damaging holding fixtures, mold rubber parts, and pot electronic components. Flexane is available in liquid or putty form and its durometer is adjustable with the addition of Flex-Add™ Flexibilizer.
